Tom yum sea food
 
Ingredients
  • 2-3 cups of water or chicken stock
  • 2 stalk of lemon grass (lightly bruise to release flavour and cut in 4-5 of each stalk)
  • 3-4 slices of Kaffir
  • 4-5 lime leaves
  • 2 red onion or 1 shallot (cut in half or 4)
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • Small bunch of coriander
  • 1 can of straw mushrooms (sliced in half)
  • 1-2 Thai chilli peppers
  • 1 cup of peeled prawns
  • 3-4 tablespoon of fish sauce
  • 1 table of  “nam prik pow” or chilli paste in Soya bean oil
  • 1-2 large limes
  • 2 table spoon of Carnation evaporated milk (for creamy soup)

Cooking instructions

      1. Boil water or stock in a deep pot.
      2. Add cut lemon grass, Kaffir, lime leaves, red onions, garlic, sliced mushrooms, Thai chilli peppers and nam prik paw.
      3. Add prawns.
      4. When prawns turn pink turn off heat.
      5. Season with fish sauce and limes so suit your taste.
      6. Serve hot.
