Papaya salad ( Som' tum Thai )
 
Ingredients
  • Papaya
  • 2-3 string beans
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 3-4 chilli peppers
  • 6 tomatoes
  • ¼ tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon of fish sauce
  • 3-4 tablespoon of dried shrimp.
  • 3-4 tablespoon of roasted peanuts

Cooking instructions

  1. Peel the skin from the green papaya.
  2. Use a shredder and shred the papaya and leave it in the cold water to make it crisp and crunchy
  3. Boil dried shrimp until it soft then drain and leave it to cool down.
  4. Smash garlic and chilli peppers lightly in a mortar.
  5. Add 2 tablespoon of peanuts and beat it lightly.
  6. Add  in sliced tomatoes, sugar, fish sauce, lime juice and mix it until become fine dressing.
  7. Add 1 handful of shredded papaya and 3 tablespoon of shrimp.
  8. Smash and mix it lightly.
  9. Top off with the rest of peanut and shrimp
  10. Serve with white cabbage and string beans.
